HUGS is a program uniquely designed to complement the success of our Brain Builders program by working with children ages zero to five and their parents.
Offering activities to enhance children's social and emotional development, HUGS helps to prepare these children for the school environment. Additionally, our partnership with the Rappahannock Area YMCA Preschool allows the children to participate in structured preschool learning to further enhance their school readiness.
Life skills workshops - such as cooking/nutrition classes, parenting groups, financial literacy and computer training - are offered to the adult caregivers.
